Jubin Nautiyal was a semi-finalist on X Factor India, trained under Vinod Kumar and in Varanasi, and from Raat Bhar (Heropanti, 2014) became one of T-Series' most used voices: Tum Hi Aana, Kaabil Hoon, Humnava Mere, Lut Gaye, Raataan Lambiyan — the romantic songs that dominated YouTube and streaming between 2017 and 2022.

Life

He was born in Dehradun in 1989, learned music at school and from Vandana Srivastava and Samant, and sang in Delhi and Mumbai before X Factor (2011) and a start under Bappi Lahiri's encouragement. Raat Bhar (2014), Kaabil Hoon (Kaabil, 2017), Tum Hi Aana (Marjaavaan, 2019), the non-film Humnava Mere and Lut Gaye (2021), and Raataan Lambiyan (Shershaah, 2021, with Asees Kaur) were his hits; he has recorded devotional music for T-Series as well and performs widely.

The voice

Jubin's voice is deep, smooth and soft-edged, with a baritone's warmth and a pop singer's breathiness, and it suits the slow, reverb-heavy romantic song of the streaming era.
