The voice
Shreya Ghoshal's voice is sweet, pure and perfectly in tune in the Lata tradition, but with more warmth and body in the lower register and a classical training that lets her take ornament, fast or slow, without strain. She is the rare singer equally at home in the semi-classical set piece, the romantic ballad and the modern pop song, and her diction in every language she sings is a matter of pride among its speakers.
