Amaal Mallik
Amaal Mallik is a composer — Sooraj Dooba Hain (Roy), Main Hoon Hero Tera, Kar Gayi Chull, Kaun Tujhe, Bol Do Na Zara, Sab Tera — who sings his own songs when the demo voice turns out to be the right one: Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon (2015), Kaun Tujhe's reprise, Hua Hai Aaj Pehli Baar's unplugged versions and a run of singles.

Life
He was born in Mumbai in 1990, grandson of the composer Sardar Malik and son of Daboo Malik; his younger brother is the singer Armaan Malik. He assisted Salim-Sulaiman, composed for Jai Ho (2014), and from Roy (2015) became one of the busiest composers of the late 2010s for Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar films; his own singing grew from singles into film songs.
The voice
A soft, husky, composer's tenor with a slight rasp — intimate rather than powerful, best on the slow ballad.
