Falguni Pathak
Falguni Pathak is the queen of the Navratri dandiya ground, and in 1998–2000 she was also Indipop's most played voice: Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi (1998), Maine Payal Hai Chhankai (1999), Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye (2000) and their schoolgirl videos. She has sung for a few films and still leads the biggest garba nights in Mumbai.

Life
She was born in Bombay in 1964 to a Gujarati family, formed her band Ta Thaiya in 1987 and sang garba for a decade before Universal recorded her pop albums; the 1998–2001 run made her a household name, and the Navratri season has been hers ever since.

A bright, high, girlish, slightly nasal soprano with the garba singer's bounce — endlessly cheerful.
