Bhupinder and Mitali Singh
Mitali Mukherjee, a Bangladeshi singer, married Bhupinder Singh in 1983 and the two became a ghazal duo on record and in concert for nearly forty years — Raahein, Ek Aarzoo, Gulmohar and other albums, with Bhupinder's guitar and deep voice and her clear, sweet soprano. Bhupinder's own film career (Dil Dhoondta Hai, Naam Gum Jayega, Kisi Nazar Ko Tera) has its own page.

Life
Mitali Mukherjee was born in Dhaka, sang in Bangladesh and came to India in the early 1980s; after their marriage the pair recorded and toured as Bhupinder-Mitali until his death in 2022. She has also sung Bengali and Hindi film songs.
The voice
Mitali's is a light, fresh, Bengali-shaded soprano, simply delivered; set against Bhupinder's bass it gave the duo its contrast.
